Truth about Pit Bulls
Pit bulls are often misunderstood as having a bad temperment. However, they're among the most tolerant dogs, scoring better on temperament tests than the general dog population, according to studies by the American Temperament Test Society.
Penny’s journey began on a freezing night when she was just a few weeks old, huddled with her mom and sister, frozen, starving, and scared. Thankfully, our outreach team was there to rescue them from the bitter cold, giving them a chance at life.
Now at almost a year, Penny is still waiting for a family to call her own. While she’s a bit shy around new people, once she warms up, she’ll curl up into a tiny ball of warmth on your lap.
While she's been good with kids, we do recommend she goes to a quieter, more calm home with only adults or older children. But don’t be fooled by her gentle demeanor—this little pocket pittie is a bundle of energy, zooming around joyfully with her dog friends! We can't wait for you to meet Penny and see the beauty we see in her: the perfect pint-sized companion.

Help care for Penny until she finds the perfect home with a donation of any amount.
Due to our limited number of foster homes that meet her specific needs, Penny is currently in board and train at The Pet Connection. As a 100% donation-based organization, we are in critical need of financial support to keep Penny in care. Can you help pay for one day, one week or one month of boarding?
